![]() ![]() Although not as exciting as some thrillers, there is enough action, tension and mystery to keep you reading to the end. As much as I liked them, at some points things become so confusing and convoluted that you either need to put it down and walk away or keep on reading, knowing that everything will eventually be explained, for the most part. Now, one negative aspect to this book are the twists and turns. ![]() The unraveling continues up until the very end, making you question everything. ![]() Each time you think the characters unravel more of the mysteries, you find there is still more to learn before conclusions can be made about the situations and the people involved. I liked the story, the characters and the never-ending twists and turns. ![]() Soon their desperation turns them to an unlikely ally in whom they must have faith or they will never uncover the secrets that someone wants revealed about a president who wants them buried. This book in their possession, combined with a friend’s death and a secret 200-year-old organization, prevent them from being able to know who they can trust. Together they find something, a dictionary once owned by George Washington, they were not meant to find in a place they were not supposed to be. That is, until Clementine Kaye, his first kiss and childhood crush, walks back into his life. Beecher White, an archivist for the National Archives in Washington, D.C., enjoys a quiet life helping answer the public’s questions and immersing himself in history and research. ![]()
